Winky Wright looked like he didn't have any fire in him from the get go. He didn't even have fire in him during the stare down. I noticed that. Paul williams came out with energy, while Winky just stood and tried to catch every thing with his gloves. Their gloves were the biggest gloves I had ever seen too. Just an odd looking fight, 12 rounds of oddity. I hope to never see a fight like that again.

Margairtio and mosley don't throw punches from dynamic angles like paul williams does and you know this and hey a lot of people said bhop couldn't pull the trigger against calzaghe and pavlik proved that whole theory wrong...... And against paul I want to say margarito threw in the 8 or 900's to pauls 1100 I think..... I could be wrong tho.. But I'm pretty sure that was it

Actually, Williams basically doubled Margarito's punch output - and the fight was still a close one. When you compare the statistics between Wright and Margarito in their efforts it's pretty shocking how much better the clunky and crude Margarito did. You see, it's not about handspeed because Winky is clearly still faster than Margarito, and it's not about tactical differences because Williams only landed at 23% on the easy to hit Margarito according to compubox (which makes the actual number far less than that). WINKY SIMPLY COULD NOT AND WOULD NOT PULL THE TRIGGER, WWM. :smooch

That's not his meaning. He means that is basically all that Winky was doing. Which is true.

No need to score it again unless you really want to - might be painful noticing even more Winky mistakes. For what it's worth, your and Arriba's takes on things consistently scan right to me and show me different angles.

Lederman gave all but the 5th to PW, but he and I being only 3 rounds off from each other might be an Western Easter miracle! Come to think of it, I don't remember hearing a "I gotta tell ya, Jim... I don't know how this guy expects to..." out of him that night.

You already stated you think paul is a fluke and I think you called winky to win..... And matter of fact now that I think about it... You said margarito beat pw... So I expect you to come up with a million and 1 excuses for winky.... All I know is the majorit of people voted for 70 or 80 percent... And there are more people who voted for 90 & 100 % then less than 50% ..... So all this "can't pull the trigger" garbage your talking is just that... Garbage... And when you see winky fight someone else.. You will see

Its a matter of styles. Winky likes to wait for his opponents before firing back, and Paul William's workrate didn't allow him to do that. Margarito on the other hand doesn't mind eating 4, 5, or 10 punches to land half back. margarito doesnt wait for the guy to finish he eats them as he is throwing.

Hey, I thought Williams put on a great performance last night. Let's not get carried away going the other direction. Let's not get carried away going any direction. That's the point.

    Yes and no.

This is the easy answer, and something I'd like you to know I've already factored into my question.

Wright couldn't pull the trigger. He had countless opportunities to lead and counter. His timing simply was not there. The fact that Margarito could find Williams cleanly, and often, and not get hit with these "4, 5, or 10 punches" you've arbitrated is exactly my point. Watch the tapes like I did. Compare and contrast.

You might be in the dog house with San now  We're like the grumpy old men of ESB.

Lederman was extremely calm last night compared to normal. Maybe we know where Larry Merchant's meds went to.
