How much would a Pascal win add to B-Hop's legacy?

Let's say he beats Pascal by a good margin, how would that affect his legacy and ATG ranking and where would it rank in his top 10 wins?

Being that Bhop is in his 40's beating a guy that beat a p4p fighter chad dawson. It will be up there not to say Pascal is great just the fact of his age and moving up in weights

I think a lot would depend on what Pascal does afterwards. If he does well its certainly a huge win on Bhops resume.

His legacy is cemented already - it's more or less icing on the cake - but doesn't really do much for his legacy.

Couldn't agree more beating pascal will do nothing, the only thing that could improve his legacy is a heavyweight world title and I personally think that is now a step to far him or come back down to a catchweight of around 155-156 for a pacman or mayweather mega fight but apart from those 2 options how can the legacy be improved.

I think it will improve his legacy a lot. He'll move up a few spots in the ATG rankings and it will definitely be one of his top 10 wins.

I think it would make a significant statement - because Pascal in his prime, is the champion at light-heavyweight (almost lineal), and Hopkins would be 44 - that is a statement and then some.

I think it'd be awesome for his legacy. It'd be like another Pavlik schooling only better, Pascal has proven himself against stiff competition already.

What is he, 44 now or something? How on earth could a win over a prime p4p top 10-20 contender not add substantially to his legacy?

Also you think a loss would affect him at all?

I don't think so at all. He has nothing to lose here.

Yeah, he's really got nothing to lose unless if he gets completely overwhelmed and KOed late, which isn't happening.

As for a win, it just depends on what Pascal does the rest of his career. My guess is that Pascal is a world class fighter and that he will have a good, solid career, not like a mirage like Pavlik or Taylor, guys who were considered the next big stars but weren't world class fighters. But then again, you never know if Hopkins might "expose" another fighter for the world to see and Pascal might never be the same again. Just ask Pavlik, Taylor, Winky, Tarver, Tito, etc. :good

If you didn't count Hopkins as a HOFer before, this would definitely seal the deal. Something like this is unprecedented. And correct me if I'm wrong but it would make B-Hop the linear Light-Heavyweight champion, right? That is impressive for a man of his stature.

He's 45 at the moment 46 in a couple of months. So I'd agree any win at such a late stage in his career must add to his overall legacy. Fighters at his age should be long retired not viable challengers.
