I reckon Floyd would never have lived it down had he lost to Hatton. The favourite won as expected but Hattons' stock has not diminished much and I give his fans credit, they stick by their man, win or lose. Floyd had no choice but to win this fight.

100% agreed. I was shocked to hear those Brits STILL singing their song and STILL chanting hatton hatton hatton nonstop...Dude Hatton was on the floor looking at the ring lights and they were still singing for em. It was pretty cool, they are some serious hardcore fans and fans like that really really really help the sport of boxing there is no denying that.

OH man if he would have lost forget about it, All the Mayweather haters would come out of the woodwork saying I told you so and that he was always over rated and this and that. Now you only see a few of them talking about Mayweather using his elbows, or they make threads saying another fighter will beat Mayweather lol

kinda like the way some of them are saying ricky hatton was over rated??? lol I don't care what anyone says but Ricky Hattons stock didn't fall AT ALL. Mainly because he isn't a 147lber in any way shape or form. 2nd stylistically we knew this was no hope for him but he took it on anyways. 3rdly He brought out the best in Floyd Mayweather and to that we give him his props.

We were able to see just about every aspect of Floyd Mayweather's game last night and Ricky Deserves props for that, And in that sense alone it proves Ricky was never over rated. He was a very very challenging fighter for Floyd and he is absolute Hell for everyone at 140.

this was why it was a no risk fight for hatton. if he won, he'd be king of the world. but if he lost, it was ok because he lost to a great champ. 1 loss in his record to pbf is better IMO than beating 10 class c fighters.

i even think that haton's stock went up a bit as he made the fight competitive in the early going

If PBF lost to Hatton, the HBO team would have had particularly nasty circle jerk.

Well, when you are the #1 P4P guy, you are going to take a lot more **** from fans if you lose. The #1 guy is always a target, and so many people want to see him fall.
