Let's be fair, Nichols was a bit drained. He didn't have enough time to get up to his proper fighting weight at the Alabama eat all you can buffet. Wilder had a cheek to spring a short training camp on him and then claim that he beat a prime Dustin Nichols.

 

A free shot like that I might die. Think about how fast my skull would accelerate and the trauma my brain can have. Not worth it. Body shot I would be a different story, I would have to think about how long broken ribs would take for me to recover.

 

Seeing how he has only faced very limited competition, is has yet to be seen if Wilder is the devastating ko puncher that this thread suggests

Ortiz or Povetkin either one, would take Wilders powershot and keep coming after him

Wilder was hammering away at Charlie Z and couldn't even get the knockout. Had 65 lbs on him too.

Deontay Wilder's right hand is one of the very, very biggest punches a human could face.
It doesn't change the fact that Wilder is a paper champ.

 

No amount of money will entice me to stand in the middle of the highway to be run over by a Mack truck doing 90 mph, and that's the same as taking a right hand from Wilder.
That Polish fellow had to spend thousands of dollars to the hospital after taking a Wilder right hand and that Russian dude was left twitching in convulsions on the canvas.

I'd much prefer to take a blow from Kovalev or Golovkin because all of their opponents get right up after being knocked down. They don't have the Wilder power that puts people in comas and causes seizures.
I'd take a shot from either of them for 10 bucks.

 

I would pay a thousand dollars to watch uppercut artist take a shot from Kovalev or GGG. Be worth it. this post , like so many others,,,,show you don't know **** about boxing. maybe take up checkers.

I'd probably be able to take it as a light refreshment, being that I I'm on the same level as any previous Wilder opponent.

Anyone that did this is an absolute moron or has such a miserable life anyways theyd risk their life for money. Id fight anyone on the planet for 1 round because atleast i can defend myself but to take a blind shot is stupidity. Had a friend who died at a night club from getting blindsided. No thanks.

 

This. I've taken "free shots" that took me by surprise before (from guys that wouldn't make it past the doormat of a boxing gym) and they hurt a great deal more than punches taken in fights from bigger guys that I saw coming.

I laugh at Wilder as a paper champ but the dude has legit power and I would not be surprised if he killed some guy taking a punch from him like that. I wouldn't do it for any money. I'd go a round though, knowing full well I'd get messed up, for good money. A guy can still cover up, duck, circle, try to be a harder target and maybe try land something oneself just to see if you can. But a blind shot like that? No way.
