At the very least he will lose claim that he is the best in this generation. He might be listed back to Lighweight in boxrec for not having any memorable fight past this weight. I believe legacy wise losing to Pac is better than not fighting Pac at all.

He will only be remembered for his reign at superfeather and lightweight

Floyd will go down as a great fighter full stop and thats because he is one of the very best around whether he fights pac or not.....tho will not fighting Pac hurt his legacy?

I think yes (more so than hurting pac IMO). I am still in hope it will happen.

he will be remembered as a great fighter no matter who he fights, purely because of his abilities.

if he fights and beats pacman he may go down in top 10 ATG lists. without fighting pac-man he'll still go down as a very good fighter, but not best of his generation. then again there will be furiouis arguments over who would have won a match up, an argument which could never be resolved.

More probable hall of famers on his card than Manny.

1 close fight in his career.

Just destroyed the guy that Manny was/is ducking.

    Later

...Oh, really? So, discounting the opponents in common, who on Floyd's list is a more probable hall of famer than Barrera, Morales and Cotto? All three of those guys are huge name three-division world champions. Is Corrales more probable than those guys? Castillo? I don't think so. Mosley is on par as far as probability-a shoe in. But why are you saying more probable HOFers than Manny has fought? I'm curious.

he will be remembered as a great fighter no matter what, but he will never be able to silence his critics by not fighting pac. if he wins pac then retires no one will be able to question his record or sklills, if he ducks him then everytime his name gets mentioned there will always be that doubt and people saying he was scared of pac....
