How much would Mosley's stock rise in an ATG sense if he took Floyd's zero?

I think he is extremely overrated by most people on here, I am with you on that 100%, I think he was amazing at 130 and I think he is not the same guy at 147, but I must admit I do think he is still a top fighter now and that he is still a very difficult proposition for anyone, and the man who takes that treasured zero will have one of the best wins since the 1980s.

There is no doubt he's a difficult fight for anyone, but I don't find him to be the "fighter of his era," simply because he hasn't earned that right. Does he have the potential to? Possibly. Just saying I would give Mosley a bunch of credit, but other people may not.

Ugh, I can't read. It pushes him into the top 5 for this generation.

You didn't say he WAS the best, but there are people who think so.

He is one of the best, like I said. That is beyond doubt.

Best fighters of the last 10 years?

    1. Manny Pacquiao
    2. Bernard Hopkins
    3. Floyd Mayweather Jr
    4. Marco Antonio Barrera
    5. Erik Morales
    6. Shane Mosley
    7. Juan Manuel Marquez
    8. Ronald Wright
    9. Jose Luis Castillo
    0. Joe Calzaghe

If Mosley beats Mayweather you can propel him into third place.

Not for me, the notion that Floyd hasn't fought great fighters is a myth. He beat the best Lightweight of the decade twice at 135lbs. He beat Oscar at a weight unfamilar with him when Oscar still had a bit left, but people were split down the middle on who would win. He school, embarrassed, demolished Corrales who was a heavy favorite when Diego was undefeated and knocking everyone out at 130lbs. He'd go on to beat Casamayor, Freitas, and Castillo. First man to defeat Ricky Hatton. A resume that lives up to his mouth and skill set? Not in my judgement, but he's ahead on Mosley through his achievements and consistency.

Not sure what the experts will say but if Shane does it he would shock the shot out of me and earn a ton of respect and credit in my book

Significantly. If he is ranked top 80 right now then he'll be around top 40 but a lot of fans.

It was a list I did awhile back, on second thought, he'd probably scrape at the bottom. Perhaps replaced by Israel Vasquez.

I think a victory over Margarito and Mayweather would easily make him one of the best fighters of the last 10 years... Right up there with Pac.
