There's a reason Pacquiao fights all these guys at different weights. He took Cotto at 145, but prior to that fought Oscar at 147. Why not fight them both at 147? Then after those two, he wanted Mosley at 143. Why not fight them all at 147? You say he's a small welter, and to that I say: Why fight Oscar at 147 but later offer Cotto and Mosley below 147 when Pacquiao was already more accommodated to the weight?

Those weights were offered to negate some of their speed and power. Just accept it.

cotto weighed in at 146 in his last fight dummy and he has fought at 140 for long time and was actually his best weight in terms of the knockouts you are just fishing for things

why did Floyd ask canelo to come down to 147?

you forget pac had to jump 3 weight classes to fight Oscar jumping weight classes is not easy

You can counter with Floyd all you want but I got something for you. I'll break down your arguments piece by piece, I ain't biased so it doesn't matter.

    1. Roach was not playing mind games, he's been interviewed saying he chose Oscar for 2 reasons: 1) he's old and 2) he's looked bad in his last 2 fights. That's an admitted cherry pick, it's even on YouTube. He admitted in that same interview he turned down Mosley unless it was at 143 and that Margarito was "prime" and "too big". He did not take those fights until they noticeably declined. So tell me: Why did he request those weights?

    2. Pacquiao did not fight Shane at the same time, same age maybe but not the same time. Do I think it made much of a difference? No. He could've taken on the winner of Mosley vs Margarito but he didn't. Why you ask? Because Roach felt Mosley was a threat, so he chose Margarito, the guy who just got his ass beat.

    3. You're deflecting my question. Why fight Oscar at 147 but then take Cotto at 145 and then after that request Mosley at 143? Answer mine and I'll answer yours, honestly.

Why are you bringing up Floyd anyway?

    1. Cotto weighed 146, went down to 145 for Pac, then moved up to 154 because 147 was difficult. Canelo weighed 153, went down to 152 for Floyd, then moved up to 155 because 154 is difficult.

    2. Floyd asked Canelo to come down because Canelo's a threat at 154. Your turn :hey

    3. Pacquiao was already cutting weight and rehydrating to the 140's. Fighting Oscar at 147 for example didn't hurt Pacquiao because it's easier to pack on muscle than it is to cut 10 lbs. Regardless of Pacquiao packing on muscle to a weight he was already hydrating too, Oscar was drained.

roach is just vocal and I believe he likes to play mind games that's it at least his fighter is not on record for admitting being scared of opponents like mayweather ala toni, pac, regarding you're point about why ask for lower weights those are called negotiations nothing else to it if I am not mistaken pac never fought mosley at 143 right?

pac fought mosley couple months after mayweather why did mayweather wait for mosley to have a 18 month lay of before preceding with the bout?

do you understand pac was jumping weight classes?

    1. Roach was not playing mind games lol I already disproved this. He admittedly ducked Mosley and Margarito when they weren't even signed to fight.

    2. Mayweather didn't "wait" to fight Mosley, he was sticking to his schedule.

    3. Pacquiao didn't have problems with weight and actually had an advantage over those guys because they were cutting weight but still bigger and slower.

Then why did you bring up Floyd wanting Oscar and Canelo at 147 if he didn't fight them at 147? :think

Did Pacquiao duck Mosley and Margarito at ANY point? Yes or no?

Was Oscar in good condition when he fought Pacquiao? Yes or no?

ODLH at 147lbs because he hadn't fought in 2 years and hadn't fought at that weight since 2001. Freddie Roach new ODLH wasn't capable at this weight anymore. He said ODLH was weight draines and had needle marks from the IV all over his arm. He said ODLH didn't look fit enough to fight that night. Freddie said they knew they had it won when they all got in the ring...

You're delusional. Pacquiao ducked Mosley after he beat Margarito, and ducked Margarito before he got beat.

Oscar was not healthy. You criticized Floyd for potentially fighting Oscar at 147.

    You're a troll.

roach does not choose or negotiate who pac should fight. it's like you're saying floyd ducked pacquiao because 50cent said so.

with margo, there's an article by ron borges that pac wants to fight margo just before he fought shane.

    ydks..
