How much would you enjoy watching Anthony Joshua fighting Tyson Fury with no spectators?

    Their purses will certainly take a huge hit, with no massive gate to compensate. Otherwise, i'd watch it, fans or no fans.

    The atmosphere during the Ali v Foreman fight was incredible and that fight would not have been as iconic if there was no crowd, it certainly would have made the finish less iconic when the crowd jumped up as Foreman hit the floor.

    I Guess there are two types of boxing fans then. One who appreciates the fight, the struggle of heart and skill between two human beings. The other appreciates the show.

    You saying that Ali v Foreman wouldn’t have been “AS” iconic is your opinion and one I do not share.

    For me it would have been just as iconic perhaps more so. To be able to hear them clearly, with no fans, no announcers. To be able to listen as Ali talked to Foreman, breaking his will psychologically. Besting him physically. The different sounds of punches finding their target. All the outside nonsense, pomp and circumstance takes away from the purity of the sport. To each his own.

    Well, I can look at it from my point of view ;
    I would be sitting in Tokyo either way so I would only watch it on WOWOW live plus, in ANY fight for this matter, sometimes the crowd's cheering or booing can do some effect on the judges' scorecards particularly with close calls.
    So " No live audience" fights can also have some good effects...

    I was 2 mins from my mother`s flat where I grew, I loved it back then and used to play outside with the other kids in the back yard behind the flats, it`s all changed now though.

    I would love to see it regardless of whether a crowd was there or not

    The issue is would it be economically possible without a crowd? I do not think so personally.

    The covid hoax looks likely last for another 12 months atleast, so I dont expect any major sporting events with large crowds until then.

    So at some point in those 12 months these top guys will have to accept a lot less money to step in the ring. If they just face low level no risk opponents, then they will further harm boxing. But that seems to be the strategy of the vast majority of top HW boxers in particular.
