So couple days ago I had my first amateur i was fighting at 138lbs weight which is 63kg. i made the weight and im 6ft, there were like 500 people there so it was quiet exciting, I fought someone my height which I did not expect because i am quiet tall for this weight so i only had one sparring partner who was my height so i wasnt fully experienced to fight someone my height, round 1 I won clearly, I got more clean shots jab and right hands and i hit my opponent clean enough for the referee to give him a 8 stand count, however i had to chase my opponent around the ring which i didnt even realise i was doing, i was jupming towards him which meant that i couldnt land cleaner punches, round 2 he won because i got tired even though i was running every day and i had a good stamina but it's because i was chasing him round 1 and therefore i got tired, round 3 I should've won split decision but the referee deducted a point because i apparently fouled which i had no idea what i did, I had to be more aggressive in round 3 but when I land a clean shot i crash towards him cause i go too much forward that was the problem, so then they raised his hand and i lost however all the crowd said i got robbed but i know what i did wrong. to win an amateur fight you have to be very aggresive and just use your basic skills always keep your hands up and dont rush in, you have to know how to stop your opponent when you have him in the corner like throwing 4 hooks in 2 seconds etc. its all about being aggressive in amateur fights and just stopping your opponent is the best thing to do rather than go the distance. if you wanna watch round 1 its in my instagram @boxing_planet

No one wins his first amateur fight.
    Nothing to worry about.
Teofilo Stevenson lost 15 of his first 20 fights.
Felix Savon lost his first 7 fights BY KNOCKOUT.
Paddy Barnes lost his first 13 fights i believe.
It's good to see that you are aware of what you did wrong so you can work an that.
    Good luck.

just because I got a good chuckle out of that.

I think its actually more of a 50/50 split, lol. there's no draws in amateur boxing so at least one person has to win. I get what you're saying, but still thought it was funny.

I watched the first round. You're doing nicely for a 17 yr old in his first fight. I liked your jab and your straight right, the technique looked good and they had pop. Well done!

As you mentioned, you did seem to be looking a little tired towards the end of the first round. I just think that you need to be a bit more cool-headed, if you are winning the round easily there's no reason to go wild chasing your opponent about the ring. Just fight sensibly, win the round on the scorecards, and save your energy for winning the next round.

For example, midway through the first round your opponent already had a standing count. You've basically won the round, barring a dramatic reversal of fortunes. There's now no need to chase your opponent. Let him come to you if he wants to try to steal the round. I think that if you had saved your energy, you would've been able to win the second round and likely the fight as well.

    Your statement
concerns me though. Most amateur bouts are decisions and you have to know how to win those as well. If you go all out for the early KO you will keep losing decisions like this one.

Keep your right up to parry his jab. Your opponents right hand was very low the entire time which left him open to a left hook. To set that up touch his right a couple times with a light jab then throw a short left hook. I love setting that up because not many guys do it from what I have seen. It's the first thing I look for and makes your opponent scared.

Amateur bouts are about massing the points with clean shots and showing aggression, this means getting in and out again quick enough not to get caught. Compared to pro fights which go longer, have bigger punchers, amateur can be more about technique.
