Well, I fell asleep after Lopez 1, but I've got Lopez 2, Conteh 1, Mwale and the Johnson fights on the go for the next few days
Just about every day. I mostly like boxing from the 60s to the 90s, but I also love reading newspaper articles and magazine articles from the times of certain fights just as much as watching the actual boxing.
Love me some Sarge. I think by the end of the week I might just start me a late-70s/early-80s light heavyweight binge. So many good fighters. So many good fights. But I just can’t bring myself to watch either of the Saad Muhammad-Qawi fights. Great as Qawi was, I don’t like seeing my guy get dismantled like that.
Interested to know how many fights everyone has been watching in the last month or so since coronavirus hit. Looking back over my posts and in the scorecards thread, I can see my viewing has definitely gone up since mid-May. But I still reckon I don't watch more than a fight a day, so I've seen about 45 in the last 6 weeks. That's pretty hardcore for me and I've been taking at least one day of annual leave during that time. I usually watch one fight a night while my wife watches the latest episodes of an American series she's into. I've been using it as an escape from the depressing reality of corona and social distancing and everything else. Even then I suspect it's a drop in the ocean compared to some people on here (no judgement implied btw).
Erm, I have a confession. Since April 5th, I've kept track of what I've been watching, and errrrrrrrrr... by my count it's 167 fights.
I didn't like to name names... If you keep going at that rate all year you might hit 2,000 fights by the end of 2020. Something to shoot for!
Oh I don't know about that chief. I do have roughly 40 fights left to watch before I seek new ones, but that's subject to growth. When I have to go college, get a job and am allowed outside again, I'll probably only watch 100 a month.
