    Surely Liston knew the year he did a runner from his father and met up with his mother & family in St Louis. He was supposedly 13 then, and even with that upbringing, his mother's judgement couldn't have been far off.

    He was about 50 for the Cassius Clay fight. He was roughly the same age as Joe Louis.

    I've long since held he looked more on the end of 45 to 50 than his listed age. If he was really his listed age, that means he fathered a child at age 11.
