How on earth can anyone think Shane was winning that fight?

The fight was a total mess.

I guess i focused too much on how terrible Shane looked.

Plus the SKY team had Mayorga winning without the KO.

"How on earth....?" You're making it sounds like this was highway robbery. I had Shane up 7-4 after eleven rounds, and I could see how people could have a one round differential making it 6-5. I cannot conceive a situation where someone scored six of those eleven rounds for Mayorga, who landed only a handful of meaningful punches throughout the fight.

That must have been it. I too was very surprised that Shane was having such a difficult time with him in there. He wasn't throwing much. I can see how Mayorga's clowning plus the commentary must have swayed your opinion.

It seems that those of us watching the fight on Skysports with british commentators tend to view Mayorga ahead. I think the American commentators were making **** up. I also think people thought it would be such a blowout for Mosley they saw what they wanted to see.

I had it 105-104 to Mosley after 11. Hell knows what Lederman was watching though.

I'm actually very surprised people had it close, let alone Mayorga winning.

Shane didn't look great, and held too much for my liking, but I thought Mayorga crapped out after awhile, although kept it competitive.

HBO commentators would usually get quiet whenever Mayorga landed some punches, or did a flurry. The round in which he started, and was DANCING before the round (I think the 8th or 9th) , he was doing pretty well, and the announcers were DEAD SILENT for a good 30-40 seconds...Before talking about Mayorga celebrating "How he was losing."
Mayorga was the more aggressive fighter is how people score it for Mayorga. Mosley landed the cleaner shots, but never really hurt Mayorga...Minus the fluke (IMO) KO.

Noone had it a blowout except Ledderman and he is an idiot. I think its pretty much unanimous among "the people who wanted to see a Mosely blowout" as you said, that it was very close (I had it 6-5) but clearly to Mosely. If the British commentators had Mayorga up, they need to learn to score a fight.

Giving Mayorga both of the razor thin rounds, I still couldnt find more than 5 to give him. Mosely CLEARLY won 6 rounds...double Mayorga's connects and more than double his connect %.

How did ANYONE think Mayorga was up? Cant figure that out for the life of me.

There you go. Your so focused on one fighter that it prevented you to score the fight properly.

He landed like 9% of his punches...and many of those were punches during clinches. The HBO announcers mustve talked A HELL OF ALOT if they were quiet anytime Mayorga landed something.

Yeah hbo was especially biased tonight. They were practically making fun of Mayorga and praising Mosley to no end. I thought it was pretty unprofessional how they were almost relishing in his knockout loss. It was close, mostly because Mayorga smothered Mosely in the 8th and 9th a little bit.
