I saw that punch coming from a mile away!! I just don't get how such a slick and crafty guy like Vasiliy could get hit with a straight right without even setting it up?? I know it was just a FLASH knockdown... but do you think Loma did it on purpose?? to make the fight seem more competitive like GGG sometimes does, to make a "BIG DRAMA SHOW"?

Perfect timing and Loma was careless. Loma definitely didn't do it on purpose. You could see it in his eyes he was concerned.

He was too slow bringing his left up to block it.

Yep. He looked beatable tonight for sure. His Aura of invincibility is definitely gone.

That’s what happens when you step up in competition and face a real challenge. Got too comfortable being in control and was careless. Not a big deal. He ended up stopping him in the end like a pro.

Could just be a good punch that didn't look good, or Linares might have a glass body to match his glass chin. Technically such a great fighter. It's a shame he doesn't have the physical tools to match.

When you run into punch it's harder to take it.

You may have seen the punch coming but you also weren't blocking and getting hit by those punches for several rounds you were watching it on t.v.

Loma simply got comfortable.....and it looked like two different weight classes nothing was easy about it.

You mean a perfectly timed and executed right hand thrown by a solid technician with a size & strength advantage to go along with excellent hand speed? Um, because most boxers in history get dropped by that punch from that kind of guy in like circumstances?

 You can respect the hell outta Linares and think he's a wonderful technician and still have scored it wide for Loma. Case in point: me.
