he will be somewhere between above domestic level and below world class with the occassional shock along the way. I like his fight game however he does get tagged alot by average fighters even when he KO's them, but we'll just have to wait and see because it'll probabily depend on where he is mentally when he comes up against the best because he seems to go on emotional rollercoasters on who he beats, it'll probabily depend on the styles. Forbes and quintana would give him alot of problems but i've got him beating baldomir and n'dou in a years time
Not optimistic at all.. I've watched most of his televised fights and I think he's going to break down under solid C+ type of pressure. Someone like Saul Alvarez would be too much for him at this point IMO and I would be very confident in picking Soto-Karass over him. It would surprise me if Brook has a decent chin because he reacts to punches like a fighter who has chin problems. Plus, his power and overall skills are nothing to get excited about at the world level.
he has similar manorisms to naz (speaks a bit like him) and comes from the same stable, but as far as his fight game goes its nothing like the prince
I would give him a chance against the bottom two on that list, but none of the others. As previously stated, stick him in with someone who has a decent chin first (Matthew Hatton say) and judge again. On reflection, perhaps someone who fires back a bit more...... Hatton jr goes into a shell at times.
I quite like what they've given him since the time of this thread. Nobody too good, nobody too bad. Good, respectable choices, building up his experience, nicely. Some guys I'd be interested in seeing him in with, right now, who will keep building his experience but that I think he handles well are Julio Diaz, Paulie Malignaggi, Steve Forbes, Junior Witter and for a young one, unlikely to do it, maybe Shawn Porter, and more his likely speed, Jo Jo Dan would be good as that last step before taking a shot at a title, imo.
How the tables have turned, everyone saying Brook is going nowhere. Did you guys not know? There is no blueprint.
Brook has a couple of wins of 'relevance' now, would be nice to see him in with a 6-10 guy soon, no excuse for it as 147lbs is pretty poor at the mo'. Brook Vs Jones would be a very intriguing fight IMO. If not, Zaveck, Gomez or Aydin.
**** me, you guys have always loved shitting on Brook, eh? Or perhaps the course of time has just exasperated certain comments.
