At this point in his career, fighting once a year, Having arguable lost 3 of his last 4 and clearly not really focused on boxing, I was disgusted when I heard Winky say that he wants to fight him and then in the very next sentence say "I want to fight the best"

well its about money, obviously. A win over DLH may not mean as much as it used to, but it still looks good on anyone's resume.

There isnt a bigger money fight than a Fighter A vs Oscar De La Hoya...so I just look at it as a good buisiness move.

I'd respect it more when guys just say "I'll fight whomever gets me the biggest payday".

so i guess de la hoya is also ducking spinks, judah(yes after the cosme rivera fight judah called out de la hoya and mosley) margarito, hatton, sergio mora and a ton of others since they have been calling out de la hoya for a while now.

I know why he is calling him out. It's not that part that got to me. It's the "I wanna fight the best" part of his statement.

    Sort of.

At least he's honest with that, but he faced Hopkins 2x, Wright, and now is facing a top middleweight threat in Pavlik, and that's the main reason why I'm more or less a fan of Taylor.

Agreed. Besides in a DLH fight nobody gets hurt and Oscar takes a dive at some point anyways claiming he broke his fist in training.
