How popular is Floyd in America and the rest of the world?

Just ask any black youth who their favourite boxer is

 

to my understanding (personal experience in the states) just about every black person knows who he is and follows him. white people not so much, they have to be big time sports people as boxing isn't very popular in the states. if they know about him its thru black co-workers/friends and such. watch the youtube video of some new rapper 'flocka' or something like that, you'll see what i mean...

As for well known, to non boxing fans he would be more well known than any of the stars of baseball or American football id say
