Is his race/religion relevant. He has fans because of this but should he be hated because of it too. His boxing is what should be the issue. Maybe his attitude too.

Does anyone dislike haye because of his race or pac because he has followers from the phillipines.

If it's something we have to discuss then clearly there is an issue

Khan will never be as popular as Hatton, but be fair, not every fighter has about 20,000 fans follow them when they fight across the pond!

If Khan was to be a bit more humble, then I believe his following would increase. Trouble is, Khan thinks he's a Floyd Mayweather or a Manny Pacquiao. Now there's confidence & arrogance!

Danny, it's Roach and his promoters that say "Floyd this" and "Floyd that". All Amir has ever said is eventually he'd like to fight Floyd, and Bradley has done the same.

Heck, Bradley called out Pacquiao after beating Peterson :rofl

the "If I was white id be a superstar" comment pissed off a lot of people, especially his white fans who have always defended him (yes, they exist)

I hear that, but to the majority of boxing fans, the buck stops with Amir!

And, not so long ago, Amir himself stated that he felt he could take Floyd ina four round fight! :patsch

I like Amir, don't get me wrong, but I just wish the arrogance would pipe down a little bit, that's all! Pacman is not that way! You would think Khan would learn to be humble having been around Pacman for long periods in camp, etc.

Does David Haye get the same hate as he does. A lot of people don't like his attitude but he doesn't seems to get a different type of hatred if he's not liked

No, you hate him because your only hope for a Great White Englishman becoming the next great boxing superstar was pounded to bits by a black American "Yank" and short stubby Filipino who can barely speak English, both of whom will go on in history as the best boxers of their generation. :rofl

After that, I would've thought you hooligans would have sobered up a bit, but we know that won't happen in your lifetimes, so keep crying :good

If anything I'd say Khan's race/relgion has helped not hindered his popularity, his status as a "role model" has gone agenst fightsports rather un PC status here.

I wouldnt take the comments here as anykind of representation of Khan's actual popularity, too many hardcore fans with an axe to grind on the net.

Explain how is a complete twat? More of a twat than Eubank, Calzaghe, Benn, Haye, Hamed, Hatton. Because from what I've seen of him, he just comes off as a confident guy and most of the time quite respectful.

Face it, after 9/11, the hatred towards muslims and ****'s grew 10 fold. I was out the other week and this girl was crying her eyes out because someone called her a P A K I, I mean wtf? Like its the biggest insult you can give to someone. I mean you wont find any girl crying about being mistaken for a latina anytime soon will you?

A lot of my friends are subconciously racist, their not racist in the way that they would go out of their way to be but you can hear it in their comments. Jokes about ****'s, or specially if their drunk then racist words they find funny just comes out.

So explain specifics of why he is a twat, rather than just he is a twat, and explain why its worse than the past british fighters we've had?

Hatton wasn't even as popular as everyone thinks.
Yes he had a big football crowd type following but outside that nobody gives a ****.

Khan is still disliked more than he is liked by the majority and again most people aren't in to boxing so really don't care too much.

khan fighting on PPV will obviously seriously hinder his fan base , out of sight out of mind is a true old saying.

will not harm his actual paying fanbase as they are all die hard boxing fans, well most are.

PPV in the uk is the same as PPV in usa in that it makes boxers money but the casual fan who does not get the PPV might read a 3 minute article in a newspaper and forget about it 10 mins later.
