The one advantage Spence vs Crawford will have is that it's going to be on Fox PPV and Fox does a very nice job promoting its fights. They really boosted the numbers for Fury/Wilder. DAZN has no marketing presence in the U.S. so I unless you are a boxing fan you're not gonna care about Canelo coming off a loss against a random 40 year old "eastern euro".

True about Fox vs DAZN for sure, promos will be all over NFL on FOX. Most sports fans in the US know who GGG is though, he has far surpassed random eastern euro status. I think more fans know who GGG is than Spence or Crawford, maybe even combined.

 

If they beef up the undercard for sure it will get it closer. Don't get me wrong I think this is an awesome fight, but star power is what sells and they just don't have it

 

Anyone who pays attention to boxing knows who they are why do boxing fans get caught up in what non boxing enthusiasts know or don't know it's not going to change anything once they step into the ring

 

Typically the only boxers that are known to the general public are past era heavyweights, but then heavyweights are sorta the image for boxing anyhow given they are the most well known boxers period.
