Boxing dwindled in the UK when it first moved from terrestrial (free) TV and then later pay per view. Other than committed boxing fans nobody will have heard of Spence and Crawford. My mother could probably name Fury, Joshua and after that she’d be talking about Mike Tyson or Frank Bruno!
Joyce and Parker are fighting tonight and would have been a big fight for UK fans years ago but it’s on PPV and most people haven’t heard of them. Boxing is pretty dead outside Fury / Joshua. Boxing fans keep it going but the general public aren’t interested. The pub landlord won’t pay to put it on
