Watson has no ranking in the rings smw division No way. Cordoba gave Nunn fits and the decision for their first fight could of easily have gone to him. When Watson fought an elite fighter he got schooled and stopped Littles was a talented fighter with wins over Liles and Jones in the ams, his pro career didnt really take off but he did manage to get a win over Liles when they were both coming up. Watson never beat any one as good as green liles. So I cant see how you can say he was better Collins: As a green contender he gave Mccallum fits and gave a damned good account of himself. McCallum in is next fight would completely school Watson. On top of that Collins beat Eubank twice, something watson couldnt do. Of course you dont when they dont match up with your view of things. Without a direct source that I can check up then I have no reason to believe any of this stuff. Why dont you post something up? He was coming of back to back losses and hadn't beaten a live opponent since Watson. If he was coming off an impressive win then maybe he would of had more of a case.
Perhaps because he never fought at the weight. But in that SMW fight with Eubank, he was out of this world and streets ahead of the rest of that division.
Eubank signed to fight Littles when Littles was his mandatory, but Littles pulled out injured and Tony Thornton was made mandatory instead. Littles was a good fighter. Watson beat better than Liles in Lee and Benn. Lee was very, very dangerous, people forget Hagler wanted nothing of him in the mid-80s when Lee was WBC #1 - rangey southpaw switch-hitter and one of the hardest lb4lb punchers.
McCallum completely schooled Collins for five rounds easily, beating the **** out of him despite being a little rusty - he even won the fifth round against Collins 10-8 with no KD's. Watson was very rusty against Mike but blocked almost everything for five rounds and was actually winning at that point, landing a lot of quality rights in rounds three & four. But McCallum, sharpened from the Collins warm-up, began to take over then as an unsharp version of Watson opened up far too much leaving too many countering opps for Mike M. Eubank clearly beat Collins in their first fight.

So Thornton, Rocchigiani and Wharton weren't live opponents? They certainly looked it! Lindell Holmes looked very lively in their fight, too.
Well, well, well, look what I found, General Sod... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=28919&more=1 https://groups.google.com/group/rec.sport.misc/browse_thread/thread/370886a285329e0/d679312334bda5e3?hl=en&ie=UTF-8
'I've had hundreds of harder fights in the gymnasium than all but two of my 34 professional fights. 'A match with a James Toney or Michael Nunn would be a game of bodily chess. A fight with Benn is another matter, because he punches like no other man. It took me 10 months to recover from that fight, (and) 10 months to recover from the Watson II fight, too.' -Christopher Livingstone Eubank
Michaelczewski wouldve knocked that glass-jawed fraud out, Jones knew that. He couldn't cope with strong pressure-fighters, thats why he fought policemen instead. Jones never was lineal champ. NEVER.
Roy was extremely popular in the late 90's. Like someone said lots of name drops in hip hop songs, was on the wayans bros a few more tv shows etc... and in early 00's he became more popular appearing in hip hop artists videos and making videos his self.
ha ha ha Darius flat foot. Richard Hall gave him 2 wars.......poor Darius. Jones played with hall like no other.
have you ever seen that Polish robot fight? nah you probably haven't. he was about as flexible as a cardboard and walked into punches like a pro. the only defense he knew was slipping jabs. RJJ would have absolutely killed him and that's not an exaggeration.
