    Didn't he also promote himself? Not surprisingly, The Squared Circle has remained a dysmal failure even when Roy's career has been done(for all intents and purposes) for years.

    500 is solid number. We are just spoiled cause people are landing 1mil ppv. Even a 300K PPV is profit.

    He had enough cross over and pop culture appeal that he was probably more popular then most people realised.

    In his mind he was as popular as the beatles but in reality Roy Jones never was mainstream. For being undefeated and all the hoppla surrounding him he really didnt have that many fans. And his fights didnt sell that much, but his problem i think was not having another star in his weigh class. The ones that were around were in europe and they never fought which is his fault for not making those fights and pushing his career to superstardom.
