And so? TS was saying it was an invented belt (later claiming it was a vacant belt), even if Cotto won it from a weak fighter in Jennings, it doesn't make the TS' claim that it was invented/vacant true. So the TS was just plain wrong in that statement.

Besides, even if Cotto was "lucky" to win the title defense against Clottey, the fact the Pac defeated Clottey right after defeating Cotto means Pac deserved the belt whether or not you think Cotto won against Clottey.

147 is totally legit. Cotto didn't have to struggle to get down in weight, he has fought around that weight before. Also, Cotto stated that he felt good at that weight. Also, Pac defended against a legit Welter.

    On the other hand...

The 154 was totally a gift. I don't see it as a title he deserves in the least...

This is one of the best videos I have seen related to the arguements on this topic! Great post!

Maybe it is not Pacmans choice, but his team sure knows how to pick the right fighters to keep him winning.

The pattern is clear; if you dont lose weight or dont appear washed up, we wont fight you.

You really cant say this much better.

Moron, i don't care if Leonard was 27, it don't mean he's still in his peak. Hell Vargas retired at 29 years old. Leonard at that time at smw he was clearly past his prime rather he's 32,31,30,29. Pacquiao the way he's dominating shows he's still in his prime. If you don't see that then god damn you're ******ed.

:? Is there any reason why any boxer wouldn't come in weighing lighter if they felt it was better for them? You're speaking like it's some kind of new underhand tactic...

By 'appeared out of nowhere' do you mean 'vacated by Paul Williams when he moved up to light middleweight'...?

Because it's an sp550i thread and hence most of the 'facts' are actually wrong or invented...
