Nah I was thinking more along the lines of castillo-mayweather 1 where JLC was recorded as throwing more and landing at a higher connect percentage than Mayweather. I have a feeling the guy recording JLC's stats must have counted quite alot of arm/shoulder shots as Floyd deflected a shitload. However compubox is like the bible to Lampley and co and they presented the results as if it was the robbery of the century. (I had it 113-113, or 114-112 mayweather)
It is probably fairly accurate the majority of the time. What people fail to realize is that it means NOTHING. Literally, zero. It does NOT provide evidence for how a round should have been scored. Not in the least. If people could understand that Compubox means nothing, it wouldn't be a problem.
I agree! I watched Hearns-Leoonard 1 for the first time the other day and the judges scores were given round by round. The draw back with this is that if a fighter gets a big lead over the first few rounds, he knows he's ahead and can just avoid engaging and win a boring a decision which isn't good spectator wise.
Vice versa, knowing you're completely behind on the score cards may compell you to take chances and swing for the fences, against a guy who is now in a defensive mindset, you've got a higher chance of catching him without being caught - it could end up being interesting.
did you like it. My daughter is about to start at UC Santa Cruz for education and she wants to teach 3rd grade:good
to be honest, it's a GREAT field. she'll love it. i did it for a time but in the end it wasn't for me but i highly recommend it
Thank you my friend. Everyone that is or has been a teacher has said the same thing. Makes me feel better. Not a huge $$$ job but I think she will be great at it and its a nobel thing:good
