I think Berto is a better choice than Mosley. it would have debunked that who slick, damaged goods, tailor made bull****, or like somebody already predicted, Marquez at 140.
I don't blame him for not taking on Martinez. I'm not that much of an *******:D

Pac was a 3 weight world champion, 2 times lineal, at the age of 24

He was an ATG before he fought Oscar. After the Diaz fight a 5 weight world champion, 3 times lineal

Now he's just leagues above the current competition. Up there with the real legends

I mean the guy won a lineal championship when he was still a teenager, against a dominant champion who had defeated every man he had faced..

  3. I agree I also wanted berto but he will still be there after the mosley fight, that fight might happen in November, either him or marquez will be pulled up to 147. But besides margarito who was realistically out there for him that time, I cant think of anyone, doesnt mean im justifying the choice for him though.
I guess if he fights marquez next at 140 then berto at 147 he will basically have cleaned out welter. then we will have the 140 guys who are coming up.

His earlier achievements are pretty exceptional, add the weight gain going hand in hand with improved technique, and you have the hallmarks of a legend.

As regards his recent body of work, who the hell are we fans to complain when he's demolishing people much much larger than him on a regular basis?

Some of them weren't in their primes? Correct, but Pacquiao didn't need to lay it out on the line against them did he? And how often does a fighter match himself only against prime world class fighters one after the other? Very, very rarely.

Pacquiao had swollen hands, black eyes and a bruised face after the Margarito fight, as well as bruised ribs no doubt. Like the TS said he has not been mollycoddled, he fights tough fights no matter which way you look at it, against bigger men, and he deserves the utmost respect for that.

To be honest, I can't think of anybody better than Margarito right now. It was better than the alternative (Cotto rematch)

    LOL.

Morales 2?? Obviously you rate Zahir Raheem as one of the great lightweights of this era then after he embarrassed morales for 12 rounds.

Everyone bar *******s and ******s had JMM at least winning one of their two contests.

Of course Berto is the better choice. But if you were in Manny's shoes and you knew the difference between fighting either Mosley or Berto was a few million dollars, you'd probably fight Mosley too. Besides, Berto is relatively young and will probably get his shot (and millions) against Pac soon enough. Assuming Mayweather is done, I'd like Pac to take on Martinez, or whoever the current middleweight champ is, for his 9th weight title, to cement his immortality.
