The depth oin this division is amazing right now.

SO many good fights just on the horizon.
    Martinez
    Golovkin
    Geale
    Quillin
    JCC jnr

And you've guys like Sturm,Lee, Macklin still around the edges

    A comebacking Jacobs

Pirog if he actually decides to start fighting again(Korborov is in the same category!)

Guys like Alvarez that could move up a division.

The next year or so could see some HUGE fights at 160.

The promoters have gold in their hands, better make the fights happen

These fights won't happen. I remember doing a big thing about the cruisers in May and how hot it was and none of the guys i wrote up have met each other yet. Afolabi, doing nothing, Huck, slipped past a guy not in the ten, Hernandez and Wlodarzyk avoiding everyone that matters like the plague, Cunningham gone.

We'll be lucky if two of those guys fight each other whilst it matters. Fingers crossed though.

Really? I'm not that impressed by it. Other than Martinez, I don't think much of any of them.

Think these are more likely just because of sheer depth.

Everyone in the top 10 is a really good fighter.

After the current round of fights.(Martinez/Murray, Sturm/Soliman, Geale/Mundine, Quillin/Guererro), its going to be hard for them NOT to make big fights.

Golovkin? Geale? Quillin? Pirog? JCC jnr?

You dont think much of them?

I think pretty much everyone in the top 10 is a quality fighter in this division.

    Personal opinion

Excellent point! I think that Martinez though is still the class of that group. But Golovkin is the fighter that I most want to watch.

Just go to sho how cyclical these things can be. It wasn't all that long agao we were saying how the division was barren.

Let's hope we get a few big fights out of that bunch.

Aside from the Super middleweight division it's the most intresting division.

Indeed there are lots of good fights out there but the big question is if the guys out there will want to fight each other or they will duck each other.

Personally I'd like to see a Jr. vs Golovkin bout and the winner of this fight to face Sergio.

Pirog vs Geale would be great too.

  12. pirog - geale
    jcc jr - golovkin

    definitely good fights there

Add Darren Barker to the mix, he looked good in his last fight and he could give a few of the lesser title holders some trouble.
