He fought Chavez cause of the big money. he wont fight a GGG, Sturm or Geale cause there is no money. Who is he fighting now? Right, Murray.
He's fought far better opposition than anyone else on the list, this is clear, yet you think they're all much more 'willing' to fight? Not seeing it.
I'm not saying he is not dangerous. Who was GGG fighting when Martinez was fighting Barker and Dzinzurik? That's right, GGG couldn't get a fight because he had contractual problems. HBO are the ones that approved those fights for Martinez since they are the ones that pay. Just like HBO declined the Zbik fight and Martinez got stripped, remember that? The Murray fight is not bad considering he is coming off surgery. If HBO were up GGG nuts like they are now, it would have been GGG vs Martinez instead of Dzin or Barker, since like I said, HBO could dictate to Martinez/DiBella who he was going to fight, unfortunately or fortunately (which ever way you want to see it) that changed now.
I agree. 168 has been hot for some years now. Meanwhile MW was ****... But over the last 1-2 years MW has really come back strong and is now one of the most interesting divisions in boxing.
We'll just have to disagree. He's got a lot of heart, though, and seems to be slowly improving, so maybe seeing as he's still young he could become a real factor. - but I don't think he truly has a love of the game, or the right work ethic.
Fights aren't getting made though with too many guys playing it safe Geale, Murray, Quillin, Sturm, Sergio. It could be good but doubt it will change much in 2014.
Maybe Maravilla will show some cojones after cashing out against Cotto (if that fight happens), but I doubt it.
Hope Pirog comes back. IMO he wrecks everyone except Golovkin, Cotto (if we're now counting him as a 160 fighter) and Sergio
