Even though Bernard Hopkins is 4 years his senior, many believe that RJJ is in no rush - to put it mildly - to get back into the ring with The Executioner.

RJJ's stance is understandable -- Hopkins is better-skilled, Hop seems to be hungrier, and without his cat-like reflexes, Jones is no longer 'invincible,' if he ever was.

With this in mind, just how afraid of rematching BHop do you feel RJJ is? Please vote in the poll and explain your answer in the thread.

I could definitely see that happening, although I could also see a Hop UD or MD/SD

I would say just about as scared as Hopkins was when he priced himself out of the rematch he says he so desperately wanted. Or are we not mentioning these truths because they contradict your agenda?

As the poll says, how afraid is he today, not in some hypothetical rematch from 2000 or one of the other instances a rematch was 'supposed to' occur.

    That's what I'm asking.

i don't think neither guy is scared, but it's clear that jones had some silly contract demands for that fight. even now, jones never mentions hopkins, even though that's one of the few big money fights avalible to him right now. i think hopkins would love to fight jones right now, but i don't think jones would be interested in it.

And I gave you an answer....or did I have to use one of your completely one sided BS answers up there designed to bash an ATG in favor of another.

BTW, the match isn't hypothetical when they were arguing about the negotiations on LIVE TV.

It's hypothetical - the deal didn't get done. Who's fault it is in open to speculation.

Hey, if RJJ is ready to go, let's get it on!!!! If Power Ranger Matrix-Man is ready to roll, damn let's get a contract signed!

Sorry, I should have made it clearer who is "Power Ranger Matrix-Man." It's this guy:

RJJ probably thinks he can beat Hopkins, but Bernard will knock him out

i have to say that RJJ could knock Hopkins out- he still has the power and if Winky rocked him a couple of times then Roy can for sure. Having said that, Hopkins has more stamina

Actually, that's not true (the RJJ not mentioning Hopkins bit). In the post-fight Henshaw interview, RJJ said something to the effect of "I will fight anyone out there right now, except for Bernard Hopkins. He jerked me around too many times before and I won't conduct business with him now." Of course, this fight would only stand to injure Hopkins' legacy if RJJ won (everyone would criticize Hopkins and question his last three years of fighting for losing to a shot fighter) and would only marginally damage RJJ's legacy if he lost (everyone would explain away RJJ's loss by calling him shot saying that the fight meant nothing). Therefore, I have my doubts it will ever or should ever happen.
