How scared would some of these dudes be if they took clinching out of boxing?

For real, imagine Wlad, Mayweather, and Broner if they started taking points away for clinching.

You saw how Wlad actually had to fight with some urgency during the Jennings fight?

Now, don't get me wrong, if they take away clinching, that doesn't mean the opponent can come in rushing with their head down all the time because that should be an illegal tactic too, but if clinching is penalized, it would reduce the incentive to rush in with your head down.

Guys like Broner, Wlad and Mayweather would LOOK SO SCARED.

I think Broner would outright quit. Mayweather's Daddy wouldn't be able to call him a COWARD again on LIVE TV because Mayweather would be knocked ut like the bltch he is, and Wlad would be on his KNEES again, like he was during the Sanders fight.

They need to implement these rules and put these guys on their knees.

The way I look at it, you have two things you can do, either reduce clinching or make the ring size smaller.

Right now, the guy that fights scared always has the advantage because usually, they're the bigger guy anyway, and they can tap, run, clinch, repeat.

After the point came out Wlad won the rest of the rounds the clearest and easiest he did all fight

If the refs didnt let Wlad hold he would just throw more and that would result in worse nights for the opponents

If you think Floyd clinches a lot you must be a hater or new to boxing

I don't agree with people saying Mayweather, he doesn't really clinch all that much in comparison to some other boxers.

Ward, Wlad and Broner though? Absolutely.

Referees really need to start having some sort of consistency regarding this, 3-5 "aggressive clinches" or holding and it should be a warning straight away, every 2-3 clinches after that should result in deductions and finally a disqualification. That'd quickly clean up the sport of this disgraceful tactic.

I like to see clean agressive fighters go to work. Or true slick fighters like billy joe Saunders and rigondeaux who are Able to swivel and manoeuvre out the way

The armchair has no say because the armchair was not built to box professionally lol...so he can imagine, but that's about it. Clinching has been going on for more than a century. Find a ref who will penalize for excessive clinching, and we don't have to talk about this armchairs imagination lol.

Clinching has been a part of boxing for many, many years. It did not start with any of the guys you mentioned. I can deal with the clinching; because, the fighters have an opportunity to fight out of it. It's the pushing down of the head that should be penalized more often.
