He is one of the very best superfeathers ever, that is definitely secure. His resume is pretty weak above 135, so that will adversely affect his all-time standing IMO.

Floyd's legacy is not secure at all especially with the true fans of the sport,Floyd is a very clever man when it comes to buisness and selling a fight, also very clever in picking his opponents and the time to fight them. Floyd is a great defensive fighter no doubt but why has he not fought (Cotto) (Margarito) (Williams) these are all great names to have on your record not forgetting that he would'nt go near Mosley in his prime.

I believe to be a great fighter with a great legacy you must want to fight anybody win or lose, (Tyson) (Moralles) (Barrera) (Liston) (Louis) (Gatti) (Paquiao) these are just a few that the boxing public loved due to there fighting spirit and will inside the ring.

Floyd should retire now and be happy with a place in the HOF, the general feeling around the hardcore fight fans is Floyd is a fake and a ducker, the sport of boxing does not need Floyd anymore as there are plenty of future stars in the making.

all time great at making weak minded people think he fought the best available for the last 8-9 years...floyd "jumps" from super lightweight to welter against a super lightweight (mitchell) who is fighting at welter, who just got kod by super lightweight champ tszyu. so welterweight debut against a super lightweight /jr welter...fights an old ass DLH at 154 who fought over 90% of his fights at 147 and lower
wouldnt fight mosley or margarito when they were considered DANGEROUS and a threat..his excuse was they had too many losses....so immediatley fights a guy (judah) coming directly off a loss...to a guy with 9 losses..... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
somehow couldnt fight young lions like cotto, paul williams, margarito, and his heir apparent mega star pacman...but can find good reason to fight 39 year old ex champs , fight welterweight fights against a guy who fought 13 years at featherweight...guys like brussels, chop chops, sosas, ndous, but no winkys, vernons, or hell, a huge knock out hitter like randall bailey would be more impressive than henry ****ing brussels.....
    path of least resistance

He's an ATG for sure, but letting a fight with Pac slipped away is one of the what if TOP 10..

2nd best of his generation as we stand, maybe third if you count Hopkins. As for boxers of modern times, it will be difficult to rank him ahead of Leonard, Duran, Pac, RJJ, Hopkins, Whitaker, Hagler, Monzon, Ali, Chavez..so I'm not sure he even makes the top ten there. Probably have him top 30-50 all-time for now.

Too many fighters in this era have outshined him by having the balls to risk losing that 0 and fight the very best available, that's how you build a legacy.

Kind of clashes with what you were saying about Calzaghe yesterday, no? :huh

I detect some UK bias here. :think

I fail to see how Floyd avoiding the top guys clashes with a fighters right to name his top three fights.

Yeah, there is no inherent contradiction whatsoever in saying it is A-OK for someone to rate a win over a shot fighter in your top 3 wins ever, and this statement here:

Continue to play dumb, you seem good at that. :good
