How shocked were you when Marquez knocked down Pac for the first time?

Yeah suddenly Marquez has that power, I've always seen him as an accumulation type of fighter when dispatching an opponent. Hitting Pac w/c sent him basically flying shocked me. All those hard hitters Pac faced he could handle yet suddenly a 40 year old sent him flying. Lol

Rigo has the power to do that though and it wouldn't completely surprise anyone. Look at his KO percentage.

Also Donaire is there to be hit.

Sorry but this is all inaccurate. Juan has at least 6 one punch KO's on his resume.

When was the last time before Hatton Pacquiao had a one punch KO? Juan also has a better KO% than Pacquiao.

Also, Pacquiao's been very nearly KO'd and knocked crosseyed by a jab before, and knocked down several times. His chin, although quite good, in not uncrackable. When you're as quick as he is, fighting bigger, slower guys, you're not going to get caught 100% flush on the chin too often.

This is true. And there's also no evidence Heredia is working with Rigo. Says he isn't, who knows.

    :yep

If they fought 100 times it would always come down to the wire, just the perfect mesh of styles. But that 1st knockdown:yikes

You really run with things. Why don't you make a thread about it? It is worth mentioning, and something the ESB community should be aware of. :good

Was very shocked and thought to myself that this time Juan isn't gonna let it go to the judges.

I was surprised at first. The sort of thoughts that went through my mind were:
How hard did he hit Pacquiao, will Pacquiao get up? Is Marquez going to win?
    Then it was:
Ah ok this is something that we have to expect, they're both going for the knockout.

After seeing Pac taking Marquez's best for 36 rounds and never really being in any trouble, I was certainly surprised to see Pac get thrown across the ring like a rag doll from a fairly innocuous looking punch. But Marquez was looking like a beast in the build up and in the shape of his life.

Still - won £70 or £80 on the KO so can't complain.

I was pretty surprised, but not altogether shocked. I saw that Marquez was training for power and believed he was training for the KO, so the question in my mind was whether he could make it count. When he dropped Pacquiao, I was like "wtf just happened", Manny not having been dropped in a decade, and from that point on was reassured that he could do it again with the right punch.

As soon as I saw the replay I knew it was the same punch from fight 1 which stunned Manny, and just had a bit more on it this time around.
