it did not have anything to do with even match-ups... williams was following martinez with his hands down. not surprising at all.
Once upon a time, I witnessed a 90 lb Doberman chase down a 15 lb cat and corner him. The cat, cornered and hissing, suddenly lunged at the big dog and tore half his face off before putting the run on him. I was shocked !!! But I was more shocked when Sergio sent Paul into the dream-state !!!
Shocked as HELL!! Couldn't believe it!! Thought it would be a long and potentially gruelling fight where Williams would fight smarter. He is a true fighter not afraid of anyone but using his advantages (height and reach) would have been a good solution. I've been saying the same **** for a while (not the only one) but I guess he doesn't read the forum... He will not change his style anyway so it's up to him and his trainer. Will keep on watching his fights though
Exactly. He hangs his chin out, doesn't care much if he gets hit and uses his offense as his defense, it was always a pretty good possibility he'd go to sleep if he got caught on the button. I didn't think Sergio had the power to do it with one shot, but I wasn't totally shocked to see it happen. ****, Robbie Peden putting out Nate Campbell with one shot was a much bigger shock.
