How shocked would you be if Crawford manages to pull off a knockout win against Canelo?

As usual make pertinent and cogent points.

Context however is everything. I don’t for one moment believe that Inoue will move up to fight Tank. Tank is not just a devastating puncher but he is also a really good boxer with skills and is athletic.

I am not going to accuse the great Manny Pacquiao of PED’s but I did notice his KO % dropped after he was forced to test. Make of that what you will.

Boxing proves that nobody is too tough to be knocked out. If Canelo thinks Crawford can’t knock him out and he steps out of line like my boy EJ Spence did then he will get stopped.

Canelo might be thicker set but we knew that already.

It would be a truly astonishing win. One for the ages, but I'm not ruling Crawford out.

Well irrespective of what you think of his dress sense he will tax Canelo’s ass.

You saw what Lara, Floyd and Bivol did to Canelo but this time time he is facing a game who bangs more viciously than these guys with the skills and athleticism.

If crawford knocks out canelo and it looks believable I will have to do a lot of soul searching. Even this aged and version, looking worse than ever - I can not imagine him being knocked out by a smaller fighter. If he has one thing it is a chin and the apprehension of when he is going to be hit by what. Plus a great guard and muscles like an ox.

Crawford couldn't even get rid of madrimov (who was a very good opponent).

If crawford outboxes a struggling old canelo i will not be overly impressed.

If he outboxes a great and dangerous version of canelo I will be impressed.

If he knocks canelo out, I will be speechless.

    Thanks

I'm talking hypothetically and if Inoue was to hypothetically move up to 130 and KO or stop Twink

Clenelo is a better and far more proven and accomplished fighter than Twink but the other side of that coin is, unlike Cleneo, Twink is in his prime and he is not on a four year stoppage win drought and the size difference between Twink and Inoue is greater. But Inoue has already been accused of being on PEDs for carrying his power up to his 3rd and 4th division despite Crawford having a KO 100% at his 3rd weight. But how is Crawford going to escape those same accusations if he KOs or stops the iron-jawed 168 pounder Clenelo who doesn't even get hurt, let alone stopped or KO'd?

Manny's KOs dried up because, in complete contrast to Crawford and other weight bully multiple weight champs who were still bigger than their opponents or roughly the same size as their opponents when they moved up through the divisions and have never been undersized at any weight they've fought at, Manny was routinely facing much bigger men at 147 and above. The same goes for Floyd whose stoppage wins dried up too at the higher weights

There really isn't a big size disparity at all. I think Crawford is going to come in at 175 bare minimum, Clenelo 178-180 if he's telling the truth about his fight night weight

Those big dumb shoes actually make Crawford look smaller than he is not bigger. They might make him look taller but they make his legs look skinny

This is supposed to be David vs Goliath. I'm pretty sure Goliath was way bigger than David

I don't necessarily see size and power being the biggest advantage for Clenelo in this fight. For starters, as said, Crawford is huge and isn't much smaller at all and also Clenelo is kind of slow and sluggish, has a much shorter reach, and when he swings those big overhands you can see them coming.

He's dangerous with uppercuts in close, with counters, and when he punches in combination but he doesn't do that much these days and if Crawford can keep him on the end of that long reach and jab, and by being faster and busier, and use his feet to get out of danger when Clenelo tries to trap him on the ropes Clenelo is going to really struggle and find himself getting outboxed again

The bigger advantage for Clenelo for me is the much higher level of company he's mixed in and the fact Crawford has barely fought any punchers. But to balance that out I think Crawford has a lot less miles on the clock and has a lot more left, and is much sharper than this version of Clenelo who hasn't been able to secure a stoppage win for love nor money in four years of facing cherrypicks

I'm not accusing him of being on PEDs I'm highlighting the double standards of other fighters being accused of being on them for carrying their power up through the weights even if they actually haven't done so. Crawford cannot escape such allegations if he KOs the iron-jawed Clenelo three weight classes above where he has ever scored a KD

Crawford ain't knocking Canelo out unless Canelo has become garbage overnight. Ginger has a bunker of a chin.

Craford's best bet is to change style and play it like Sugar Ray Leonard. Lots of fast flashy but low power combinations, movement and razzle-dazzle. Mixing it up with Clenelo is not a good plan.
