Lebedev tripped over his foot...I think the Roy punch was blocked.

Ruiz isn't his biggest win...Toney/Hopkins/Hill/Griffin 2/Tarver 1 are all bigger.

    - Toney who was struggling with the weight and looked lucky against Tiberi, couldnt beat Williams at first as and did little at SMW. Maybe
    - Hopkins wasnt a big win at the time. Hopkins hadnt done very much at MW then and wouldnt win a world title in his next attempt either
    - Hill coming off a loss to Michalczewski
    - Griffin 2? Griffin didnt ever do a great deal and never won a big major fight again, only winning that one by DQ. Dont say Toney because nobody rated Toney by Griffins 2nd win
    Tarver 1?
Tarver 1, Griffin 2, Hopkins (due to the time), Hill werent bigger wins than how Ruiz was rated at the time. Maybe for you with hindsight but not when they happend. Toney may have been rated a bigger win by some but not all

**** man how can you stay on here and argue with this idiot! IF he only took his lips off of calslappy's balls for a second he could come up for air and oxygen could get to his brain! Then he could see things for what they are. He doesn't get the difference between completely dominating someone and beating them close.

Next thing he will start saying that he thinks Calslappy really beat Bhop!:admin

I'll debate with bailey, because while he obviously has an agenda(to pump up Calzaghe), he still comes with his rather twisted facts and crazy opinions for the subjects. He's certainly not a bad poster, just delusional.

Toney was still undefeated an P4P king(although that has a lot to do with circumstance(Sweet Pea drawing with JCC)
Hopkins was a MW contender when Roy beat him(was actually for the vacant IBF strap) He wasn't a nobody.
-It wasn't just Griffin..It was Roy coming off a controversial loss, and sparking him the **** out.
-Tarver admittedly is a B- level fighter at best, but Roy was weight drained and completely out of energy in that fight. That fight showcased the A+ intangibles Roy had when he was lacking physically. That fight does more for his legacy in my eyes than the Ruiz win.
Ruiz had a HW title belt. He's not a great fighter and never had been.

You're right. An utterly shot to smithereens Roy Jones, who was shuffling around like a grandpa out there, brain-damaged, time-ravaged, gassed, semi-conscious, and with zero movement was at times clowning and nearly KOed one of the top cruiserweights in the world.

It is frankly astonishing. Lebedev is awful. Roy Jones has been shot for the better part of a decade. At this point "shot" is not even the right word.

And yes, I am fully aware that I am talking to a computer program running on a commodore 64. I understand the latest release "bailey 2.0" has fixed some of the bugs that plagued the original "bailey", but I wonder whether the latest release has made "bailey" seem any more human-like. I don't think so. I don't think I'll be buying the "bailey 2.0" iPhone app, when it comes out -- that's for sure.

While programs update, I have noticed that virus duplicate, here on ESB with alt accounts with different names.

tarver was supposed to fight jones in 2000 but tarver had his jaw and ribs broken by harding who jones went on to defeat. johnson lost to harmon in 2002 and jones stopped harmon in 2001. tarver and johnson were no different than the rest of the opponents. they just happen to fight a post-heavyweight jones.

Typical of you to mention lips on balls :barf. Then start sucking up to Hopkins.

    Especially for you
    This content is protected
. I understand that Hopkins is an American legend that people want to see as an iconic figure. America love a reformist and Hopkins as a former armed robber turned world champ is just the story that wins Americas hearts but...

    This content is protected

    1. Calzaghe landed more than 100 punches than Hopkins throughout the fight.
    2. Contrary to what people want to believe, Calzaghe also made Hopkins miss more
    3. All round punch percentages, Calzaghe finished ahead of Hopkins
    4. Calzaghe outlanded Hopkins in every round
    5. A Byrd who scored for Hopkins it appears has a history for bad scorecards. Type in Adalaide Byrd in Google and see what comes up for yourself, still here are some little things for you to look at
    a. A Byrd was the only judge out of the 3 scoring judges that had Mack ahead against Cloud
    b. The K Pavlik - A Lopez fight was scored 98-92, 99-91 by the other 2 judges, A Byrd scored it 95-95
    c. A Byrd was one of the judges that had Morales a 4 point loser against Maidana
    d. In the S Aydin vs S Ouali fight, the other 2 judges scored clearly for Aydin. Byrd scored for Ouali
    e. The J Almaraz/C Tyler fight was scored a Maj-Dec all because of one judge, guess which? A Byrd
    f. The A DeMarco/J Reyes fight was a SD. Guess who the odd judge out was? A Byrd.
    g. The R Torres - M Arnaoutis fight was a close fight, a point either way to 2 judges but a wide result scored by Byrd
    h. In the A Pryor Jr/D Stanislavjevic SD, guess who the odd judge out was? You guessed it... A Byrd
    i. The W Ferguson/J Lopez SD, guess who the odd judge out was? You guessed it... A Byrd

I think thats enough for you to get the picture with Byrd. Remember the other 2 judges scored clearly for Calzaghe

    6. Calzaghe beat Hopkins in America, at a new weight with 3 American judges and Cortez as ref.
    7. Calzaghe scored the single highest score card against Hopkins ever 116-111.
    8. The 2 judges that scored for Calzaghe agreed on 9 of the rounds
    9. Calzaghe landed more on Hopkins than anyone ever.

Now I know there will be a flood of people coming on here noting Hopkins scoring a flash KD in the first round, and I agree that Hopkins did win a few rounds even when he didnt land as often, but people are mad if they think Calzaghe won on workrate, Calzaghe won because he was able to land his left more often than Hopkins could land his right.
Calzaghe finished the stronger and took away the moments Hopkins likes down the stretch.
Other thoughts, If Hopkins thought he was winning, do you think he would have been looking for time out and would bother trying to get points deducted off of Calzaghe, of course he wouldnt, Hopkins knew he was losing.
What I do note is that nobody seems to mind Hopkins lost to Taylor. In the first Hopkins/Taylor fight, Jermaine was badly hurt and Hopkins looked the stronger at the end, yet it seems to upset alot of these people that Calzaghe beat Hopkins. Appears very biased.

Unlike you Jasper, SouthpawJab remains dignified, and a sensible debate can take place, whether we agree or disagree.
You Jasper havent been able to debate one thing to your advantage . You have an opinion that you cant find logic to, so come out with things like its not worth debating, all the while staying on the thread
