I've woke up to abraham. Not hugely taken with him as a person but as a fighter he's a monster. Not sure what strategy could be employed to fight abraham because of his peek-a-boo defence and since his arms defend from his chin right down to his protector. Looping shots round his guard to the body or head or wait for him to throw and then counter-punch? What do you guys think, i'd be interested to hear opinions on this

Counter punching, simple. Be patient, and be very wary of his bombs. Taylor seemed to be trying to jab with nothing behind it, hitting gloves all night, I think the body work would of had more effect if the fear of being deducted another point wasn't in his head.

I think Dirrell could give Abraham problems. Abraham is almost too patient in his approach. A fighter such as Dirrell would cause him issues. Well, if Dirrell does the same as he did on Sat night but added something else to his arsenal, like throwing a few punches!

Lateral movement and throwing shots around the guard.

Don't stand in front of him with your hands down.

Unfortunately Froch can throw the arching shots but leaving your chin out against this bloke is a disaster waiting to happen.

Frochs chin is good but he's been wobbled by Taylor and Dirrell (who have respectable power) but Abraham is a monster and could KO him

Put him on a jab a strong fast jab to keep him off balance an move laterally away from the right hand!! ALA Bernard Hopkins Vs Kelly Pavlik, Little bit of tying him up will help too!! Gotta play it safe against Abraham cos he does have serious power..:good

get him out of germany for starters, dirrell will have a chance of out working him.

froch may get seriously hurt against abraham, that chin wont hold up to that kind power, you could see it was affecting taylor and thats probly why he was scared to let his hands go for most of the fight.

    kessler/abraham final should be good.

He's a hard task for anyone. He looks like he's stationary, but he's not - he steps back from punches against his guard, then steps straight back in, but slightly to the side. He jabs when he does it sometimes, or he throws wide hooks before throwing a straight shot just when his opponents think they've got him figured out.

Going round the sides of his guard is suicide - he waits for that and delivers a shot right down the pipe when it happens.

I really can't think of a tactic that he wouldn't be able to answer and, with his power, that wouldn't ultimately result in a painful conclusion for the opponent.

I think, since he's a slow starter, use those rounds to get close and hit him to the body. You're unlikely to knock him out, so try and at least wear him down a bit. Have ridiculous levels of stamina so you don't get sloppy late, be prepared to fight different styles throughout to keep him off balance.

He seems to figure his opponents out and then waits till he has an opportunity to work you over - and that jab is nasty. He just pulled Taylor apart.

I agree with the "get him out of germany" the guy is well over-rated, he has power but is terrible to watch, really limited. And those cheating germans are a disgrace, always have been, always will be, total ****in disgrace:nono:nono:nono
Stick a slid jab on him, keep on turning him cause the guy can only fight in straight lines. I'm not sure where the fight is with AA v Dirrel, but if it's out of germany Dirrel has a chance, if its over there forget it, needs a KO for a draw.

If Froch is gonna beat him he can't engage and "have a fight" with him as he says. He's gotta get rounds in the bag early doors. Keep him at bay with the jab, make sure that his balance is spot on and keep that left hand up. He can't leave his chin out there. Froch will get his moment with his big shots and when he does no ****ing hesitation, go in with combos but mindful of his chin at all times.

AA looked like an animal on Sat night and I was impressed but Froch wont throw pitter patter all night. He'll look to take the wind out of AA's sails early. The body shots might be the key. The important thing for Froch is that he has great stamina and if he's fresh going into the last three I give him a great chance. AA likes to rough it up too and JT hated that, Froch will love it. Everything that AA gives in the dirty stakes Froch will give back.

Do what Elcock did to him for 4 odd rounds but have the stamina to keep it up for 12 rounds.

Hahaha - you are so mistaken. Abraham looks limited, but he really isn't. He's all about getting you into position, then pouncing.

every time abraham punched it looked like it carried a real weight behind, he was shifting taylor around quite easily.
we know froch and abraham both like a swing up but i believe abraham looks faster and stronger and will come off the better in those exchanges, froch could get starched as dirrell really wobbled him, maybe that chin is weakening?
