Actually I quite like Monroe. He's got blistering speed and some sweet movement in the ring. But yeah, I agree, he should have waited till he was 50-1 and a hundred years old before getting a shot. Who would be a bigger challenge at 160?
Why wait till he's 50 years old when he can fight the "champion" fresh out of a 10 rounder fight?. Now that makes sense. Either fight quickly or wait till you're 50. Considering you're a GGG fan, I can quickly see and understand your mental issues. He had crispy and blistering speed alright, and his movement was off the charts too. That's why Golovkin ended up looking like Marvin Hagler against him while he ended up looking like a one-dimensional plodder against Brook(a Welterweight who's movement isn't that great either). The mentality of the average Golovkin fan is rather disturbing. You guys make the Margarito fans in 2006 look like scientists.
Ultimately, I believe that's the best gameplan to neutralize GGG's preferred style and perhaps make him change gears. I don't think Danny's got it in him to execute it. He's not used to fighting that way, and from what I've seen, he likes to scrap too much to stick to that kind of plan. For Jacobs, I think he's got to try and play to his strengths: come out fast, try to get GGG to open up, and catch him cold before GGG finds his timing and range and zeroes in on him. It's high risk, but it's the only way I see him pulling the upset off. These guys can both crack, and the longer it lasts, the more the odds favor the more durable guy.
