What strategy would u have for him. I was thinking a high guard and try and corner khan. Press him after every khan attack make him tired. He only needs to land clean once with the straight left to have khan in deep water
Don't try and do a cheap impersonation of Pernell Whittaker and stay on the outside, fighters who stay on the outside get out-jabbed by Khan all night, Zab should cut the ring off and keep his guard high, making Khan smother his own work and waste energy running around the ring, corner him and let your hands go when in close, Zab throws combinations better than Khan imo, Khan flurries fast but Zab picks his shots better.
Khan gets a lot of stick and rightly so but he kicked Judah's ass and made him quit, Judah wouldnt be able to walk Khan down, he has neither the heart or durablity to do so like Peterson does.
I don't think he should. But assuming Judah was still sharp enough to make it competitive, I'd actually have him stand his ground in spots when Khan rushes in and duck low, similar to McCloskey's style, (but not too low), so as to counter with uppercuts and body shots before pivoting out, which he does quite well. He would absolutely have to isolate Khan's jab, so circling to Khan's left and setting up a slip + left hand or right hook over the top would discourage him from coming in so quickly, and make him easier to read and time. Once the pace favors Judah more, throw jabs up top, straight left to the body and head following up, and see what Khan does from there. If he gets a chance to hurt him, those combinations that took Paris apart would be good to see. This is again, of course, assuming Judah were capable of being as good or nearly as good now as he was in his prime, or close to it, which he in all likelihood isn't, despite a better performance than we've seen in years. Khan's speed and rangy aggressiveness were overwhelming Judah and allowing him nothing to counter. He'd have to try and circle and spoil Khan's rushes a bit before putting his punches together if he wants to create any opportunities. I don't see Judah walking anyone down behind a high guard though, sorry. Especially not someone as mobile and jab-happy as Khan.
Judah ****ed up with his performance against Khan his stock was rising, then it fell drastically, now it's slowly rising again.
I wrote a gameplan out for him the first time and he didn't bother to search the internet and find it. He's not getting that pleasure this time. :bart
Who's to say that there will be a rematch? Judah's the mandatory to the winner of Khan/Peterson. Maybe Peterson wins again....
Khan hit him with a low blow and the tape clearly shows it, that was a low blow. That being said, pressure Khan, stop trying to sit back and counter him, but instead bring the pressure to him, that is what I would suggest. That being said Zab won't be fighting Amir or Peterson, who both are moving up to 147 after this fight.
