How Should Ricky Hatton be remembered?

As a world-class fighter who was one of top jr. welters of his generation who came up short against a pair of all-time greats but had the balls to step into the ring with them and give it his all to win. But at the same time, a guy who could have done a bit more had he been more disciplined and dedicated to the craft.

 

The Hatton following is the epitome of brittardism in boxing. The Mayweather fight was the high water mark of stupidity among this delusional fan base. They were so desperate for success that when they saw a spark of hope, they threw all the wood on the pile. Unfortunately, Hatton could never become much more than a spark for them.

 

I'll remember him as a pretty good over achiever. In the sense that he didn't have the greatest skills, not the best athlete but still managed to have a nice career and win the title.

a little overrated but a good fighter. He beast Castillo and Tszyu. Had he stayed at 140 and fought strictly 140 pound guys his career would have lasted longer and his legacy would be better.

First and foremost, he will be remembered as the guy I strongly critiqued (aka "Hated") and Doomed...

Had to cheat to attain his best win...as unprofessional as he was overrated...
