How silly would ward have made calzaghe look ??

Calzaghe would have clowned his way to a very lopsided victory! Maybe he might have made himself look a bit silly against Ward like he did against Hopkin's with the simulated sex act. He made have Ward look second rate though!

calzaghe's lunging arm punches would have gotten him dropped once or twice against ward by hard counters. 10 rounds to 2 . maybe 12- 0 shut out because calzaghe wouldnt be able to think on wards level in the ring.

I like Ward and also think some guys are going a little overboard, but will disagree with your point that Americans would embrace Joe if he was American.

Joe offers little in entertainment value. He didn't fight much tough competiton, nor did he knock out the limited competition he did face. If a more technically proficient Chad Dawson doesn't sell here, neither would Joe Cal. Americans wouldn't fall for that slap boxing, we have other champions to watch.

Fans of his would be justifiably laughed out of the barbershop and he would not have been on premium television.

prime for prime Calzaghe wins. Prime Calzaghe hits harder than Ward, Prime Calzaghe has faster hands than Ward, Prime calzaghe has a higher workrate than Ward, Prime Calzaghe has by far a better engine than Ward, Prime Calzaghe has a better punch resistance and recovery rate than Ward.

Wards assets are his cageyness and defence but over the distance Calzaghe`s relentness workrate and pressure would topple Ward

Ward is a good fighter but as usual he`s being way, way overrated by the Americans as per.

Calzaghe would set a pace that Ward wouldn`t be able to be at his best fighting at, Calzaghe has the faster hands & would simply out-land him in the close rounds.

Ward has it all to do to catch Calzaghe, not the other way around, wake up please people.

Some might but most don`t... in my experience its Americans that can`t accept the fact that Calzaghe never lost & was such a good fighter, the way they hang off Ward`s balls (who IMO is not really that great) is so sad its hilarious.
