Didnt Froch lose to a fighter Calzaghe took the 0 of, who was coming off a loss and Calzaghe did that when old and shot.
Froch is an old slow SMW who looked lucky o many against Adamu and Dirrell and to some against Pascal and Johnson and who was behind against Taylor before the end.
Before Bute when Froch fought Johnson, he had never beaten a SMW champ, only won vacant titles and was coming off a Mdec over an old SMW journeyman who had lost more at SMW than won, and that was a fighter that a couple of Calzaghe leftovers had beaten when prime

I guess because he was thought to be the best SMW ever, was a winner of 5 world title fights, unlike Ward was KOing most of his opponents and had unlike Ward never gone down or looked to have lost a fight.
Lacy had arguably more power than Froch, was faster than Froch, had better footwork than Froch

I don't think ward beats him at this stage of his career. calzghe was a great fighter with great skills. great speed, great jaw high volume puncher throughout his career. to state that ward would own him is truly ignorant.
