Watching Cleverly Murat got me thinking , coincidentally , these two fighters are actually very similar to Froch and Abraham stylistically , with subtle differences obviously ............

Cleverly was fighting a lot like Froch , lazy left hand , leeding with the wide left hook , awkward on the inside , Cleverly is more active than Froch and seems to be a little quicker , with Froch taking an advantage in ring craft .

Murat is almost a carbon copy of Abraham but a little slower , a strong heavy handed plodder with a dangerous rear hand .........

I think Cleverly Murat was a sneak preview of what to expect from Froch Abraham except more evenly contested as Abraham does everything Murat does a little better , and Froch's output really isnt high enough to nullify Abraham the way Cleverly did Murat .

    Thoughts ??? ..................

Em... they'll be nothing at all alike. Cleverly's a lot more fluid, with faster hands and moves a lot better. Plus he throws shorter, snappier punches. He has an inside game too.

Abraham has superficial similarities to Murat, but his actual abilities mean he's completely different. He has faster hands, punches harder, is more explosive and seems more tactically astute.

Cleverlys defence is awful and his punches are sloppy. The other guy was a simpleton in style. Froch and Abraham are like that but Froch has good power as does Abrahams. IF they land the same amount on each other, it will be insane if someone doesn't go to sleep.

Frochs defence is under rated. He doesn't get hit clean as often as people make out.

Absolutely agree. For all this talk of him being in all-out wars, I don't think he's taken a massive amount of punishment. I think of anyone, Pascal caught him flush most. Kessler didn't land an awful lot of clean shots on him either.

If it's similar, then Froch is getting knocked out.

Head shots that is, I'm not neglecting the bodywork Mikkel put in.

True, when Froch throws caution to the wind, he really does chuck it.

Not remotely similar. Froch can't even fight on the inside. And Abraham certainly doesn't enjoy it up close so I doubt we'll see them in the pocket as Clev elected to fight.

If anything what you're probably going to see is typical Froch, looking to keep Abraham on the end of his jab, swinging the odd right hand/left hook around the guard. He should try to work the body but that will be risky since Froch is so slow, it leaves him open to counters.

Froch and Clev are not even nearly alike as you say.

I think Froch will work AA up against the ropes. Froch is very good at giving himself the room to throw his shots. He is unlikely to get tied up close, and there will be very little inside fighting as neither man is a fan of this.

    as TFFP says, not similar

frochs plan should be to hit 30 solid jabs a round for the 1st 5 rounds whilst lookin for big upper cut / right hand hooks (similar to bute-andrade) on abraham. its clear he dont like it to the body which is why when anyone swings a shot in the same post code as his belly he complains

it'l slow abraham down enough to make him drop his hands and land clean head shots. he wont be stopped imo as the only way he will be stopped is from a sharp counter puncher with movement hits him with a shot he wont see coming whilst he is throwing himself. froch isnt fast or skillful enough to do this, but he can take a decision if he jabs, goes to the body with straight punches and keeps it at enough distance that abrahams treacle like footwork wont be able to close him down
