If Floyd fights him this year, than your answer is a matter of weeks.

If Floyd fights him next year, he will have once been the goods, but since proven that he is less worthy than before to be a legit challenger.

 

Doesn't matter. He's the Light Middleweight Champion and fighting at his most effective weight. Mayweather is 14 years his senior, fighting him at his own worst - and fifth - division while giving up 20+ lbs on fight night.

It's neither a cherry pick or a top 5 win, but it's solid. He's a legitimate champion with a size advantage and good fundamentals. IMO he's not ready though.
