How soon do you think that Juan Diaz should move up to 140?

I think that Diaz should fight 140. There are bigger fights at this weight and Diaz has already run through the lightweight division. What's your opinions?

after he unifies with KAT and Casa

he was said to be making over a million in his fight against Katsidis (which is an easy win for Diaz imo) so the money is there at lightweight

First Juan should fight David Diaz and completely unify the lightweight division. Than he really has no choice but to go up in weight for the tougher big money fights.:thumbsup

No need for him to move up. He's not a big lightweight, and Pac should be moving up to meet with him in not too long. Even if he stays at lightweight, he can still make good fights with David Diaz, Katsidis, Casamayor, Pacquiao, Guzman, etc. over the next couple years. If he cleans out the lightweights, move up for one fight to take on Hatton. Diaz will have similar problems to Hatton moving up though. He has a bullying style that won't work so well against bigger fighters.

I think this obsession with division hopping needs to stop. It would be refreshing to see someone unfiy a divsion & put together a few years worth of defences for a change.

This is a situation where a fighter probably shouldn't move up at all. Why? Because he'll do a Hatton, struggle badly to impress at the weight and then everyone will say how much he sucks.

Excellent point. Particularly when there are still big fights to be made in the division.

Oh please, PLEASE shutup with this Hatton wrestling bull****.

Look, Diaz realies on pressure and eventually wearing down these opponents. He isn't a brilliant boxer, and his fights can be close on points before he wears down said opponents. Now, against bigger, stronger opponents, his punches will have less effect. He won't be any quicker and being at 140 will do nothing for him. Hatton decimates him at 140 and a lot of other fighters would make him struggle.

Anyway, let's just say, for the sake of argument, that Hatton has now turned to wrestling. How the **** would Diaz get any punches off against someone so much stronger who insists on nullifing his punches?

I agree, especially since the division hoppers often tend to cherry pick for the easiest fight among the beltholders, like Roy Jones did with Ruiz.

So how would Diaz's punches be nullified?? Oh by wrestling thats right...your ****ing pathetic...and Diaz crushes Hatton at any weight....Hatton's clumsy ass wrestling style would be crushed again by a brawler that throws 120 punches in the 12th round...So **** off with your "Hatton will wrestle him to death"..:patsch
