Why would a spectacular KO, raising Khan's profile by about 1000% internationally and therefore generating a lot more interest in Khan's next fight be bad for Frank Warren?

I think it is you who being naive.

A quick rematch would be a dumb move. After a fight like that Khan needs to fire his trainer, regroup and regain his confidence.

I've seen too many guys try to rematch an initial loss quickly end up with the same result.

a big risk take. he's career would most certainly be over if he was to lose again and at this stage of he's career it would be advisible to get some good wins under him build he's confidence up and meet Prescott a little bit down the line because to rematch him now would not make sense as it wasnt a close fight or no champoinship was on the line , on the other hand That fight might of signalled the down fall of Khan and if thats the case he could be ko'ed again before they rematched and i think its to much of a long shot to get straight back in there with Prescott and win
