Roach wanted to call the fight off.

He was outvoted by others around Manny.

The fight was much closer than HBO and Showtime had it.

In keeping with two of the three judges, I had it 8-4 (116-112) for Floyd.

If some deity who knew the 'correct score' said to me "you're close, son, try again..." I would say 7-5 (115-113).

    I can't get to 6-6 nor 9-3.

And even though I had it 8-4, that score doesn't fully reflect the closeness of the fight as a whole.

Manny was the aggressor throughout, and Floyd fought defensively, on the Blackfoot. On the few occasions where Floyd tried to 'stand and fight,' he quickly realized that was a bad idea as he lost those exchanges and quickly retreated.

Around the eighth round, Floyd's dad in his corner told him that he was losing (he wasn't).

I scored it to Floyd because he landed more shots on Pac than Pac landed on him, and by a fair margin. And the shots delivered by both men were of approximately the same power...neither man landed any devastating punches.

Floyd fought a brilliant defensive fight and that's what gave him the close but very clear victory.

I love pacquiao and wanted him to win that fight, but I would have had to reach to score it in his favour

Me crying? Coming from the person that keeps making threads over and over on an event from 5 years ago.

You are entitled to your own opinion...

Spain boxing analysts are entitled to their own opinion too...

If there were the judges of the fight Floyd definitely has no chance to win save perhaps if the price is right.

You should also watch it upside down and in reverse order. It's the only way to really find out what happened.

    I had it 9-3 actually.

I had them even over the first 6 rounds.

I gave Floyd everything from 7 onwards.

There are people on this site who think a draw would have been a reasonable result in the Mayweather Canelo fight. That's how stupid some people are on here when it comes to Mayweather.

    Just rewatched the second half.

I thought Pac took 9 and 10 reasonably clearly.

I don't think the fight is good enough to warrant me rewatching tbh so I'm gonna stick.

Who's going to rewatch that terrible fight?
Should have been this generations Leonard Duran Montreal in 2010. Could have really helped boxing, now it only hurt it.

It certainly did not live up to the advance billing.

I think that was mainly due to it happening about five years too late.

BTW, are you still teaching maths ?
