This so called skilled boxing pro got his ass beat badly in front of the planet after being "GIVEN" a title shot that he did not earn. Salido showed Arum and HBO that this kid was a hype and he has been fighting low opposition since.

They are afraid to let him fight another half decent skilled opponent let alone someone like Rigondeaux. Here's a link to the fight so you guys can stop imagining B.S. and look at reality https://youtu.be/v5TKbppJCDE

Vasyl got worked and almost knocked down and knocked out by and old drunk vet. He deserved what he got because they were cheating to give it to him anyway. :hi:

You mean if he lost a very very close decision to a former title-holder who came in the ring at a weight three divisions above him who rabbit punched him like a hundred times? He must be very special.

Floyd beat Maidana who rabbit punched him all night and was 2 division above in weight. You loved seeing that though.

If Vasyl was half the man you though he was he would have gotten the victory.

He did what anyone could do best in their SECOND pro bout. Btw I never said anything bad about Floyd or his performances against Maidana. But please, show me one thread where I said anything to criticize Floyd against Maidana.

I have to wonder what people's priorities are when we see such a skilled fighter come on the scene, step up to world level in his 2nd fight against a guy who didn't even come close to making weight, and not only compete, but almost win the fight anyway. The guy took a chance that 99.9% of fighters have not and would not take. Was he ready? Not fully. Salido pulled out a lot of tricks from his bag.

I'd rather see that than to see a guy run up a 28-0 record against overmatched fighters.

if you mean that Salido hit Loma's nutsack so many times it made him infertile, then yes, his manhood was destroyed

Lomachenko has talent. Rugged Brawlers may just be his weakness though. He definitely lacks power. We won't know until he fights another rugged brawler. I don't see any at his current weight class.

Boxing is a never ending learning experience. He lost......but he gained experience that most just most entering their pro careers don't see until years later.

You have a perception Lomo has faced no one with "decent" boxing skills when in reality he faced champions in a sport where less than 1% ever reach that level of the sport.

Gary Russell Jr is a great boxer in his own right and proven to be a Top level fighter that Lomo out boxed from top to bottom. Solido wasn't prime but he wasn't shot either. A former world champion who had the craft, experience, grit and ring savvy Lomo had to overcome in only his 2nd or 3rd fight as a pro.

You really drive a hard bargain as a boxing fan. Were you this hard on Floyd when he started out fighting his 1st five opponents after turning pro?

Floyd was younger, yes.....but do you think that's why he took a much easier route vs Lomo who was older but took on a much more experienced and deeper level of opposition beginning his pro career at 25?

    Thoughts?

It's a good thing Lomachenko beat Gary, otherwise we'd already be seeing him pop up in P4P lists, now that Lomachenko has beaten him they have no other choice but to **** on him.

I am ashamed that our American education system can't seem to squeeze more intelligence into the heads of our more unfortunate citizens like Willie.

I don't think he's a special pro boxers honestly. I doubt he'll ever turn special given that he ain't particularly young. Should've spent less time in the amateurs in my opinion.

    Obviously, Salido is pretty good.
