Rios has not been at his best since the first fight with Alvarado. Ever since the Abril fight he has been a muse to get fights done at 147 for Top Rank. Rios was never a good fighter just a big ass punching bag that walked toward punches.

Thank god picking on Lomo will take the place of dumping on GGG or Ward...at least for a couple days.

Loma ties up more effectively now then he did at the time of the Salido fight. Moreover, he clinches to pause/slow rather than stop the action as he did then. He also attempts to then punch/maneuver his way free.

As I said numerous times before, Salido socked away several rounds simply by being the busier, not necessarily more effective, fighter while Loma deliberately conserved energy.

Salido landed more clean head shots on Garcia and Gamboa than he did on Loma.

Loma's footwork and newfound experience will be the difference the next time.

Agreed. His corner, however, seemed to want him to tie Salido up on the inside. The second time around I suspect that Loma will use his footwork, footspeed, and mastery of angles to turn Salido and avoid some of that rugged inside stuff.

Well, it's like this. It was his 2nd fight. It's like my Ohio State Buckeyes losing their second game to Va Tech last year then dominating later in the season. You don't become an expert overnight. Even with talent, you must get the experience needed.

Pretty stupid thread dude took on a world class fighter in his 2nd pro fight, lost a close one due to inexperience to the vet.

Has looked nothing short of sensational since,Loma is a guy who actually deserves hype and isn't just a media creation like another high profile euro.

Salido was better than Chicanito was when Floyd beat him.

Salido hammered Loma in the nuts all night but the corrupt ****y Cole said nothing. Totaly Disgraceful. Loma should have acted a little and got him DQ's

I don't know about that but don't see the relevance, Lomachenko is a quality fighter though and has a bright future.
