how stupid can u be comparing GGG with Bute

I think GGG is legit Bute to me was never anything special.

 

Bute's win over Bika was better than anything Golovkin, the traitor, has ever beaten.

 

Why didn't he drop Rosado then?

To someone who only reads resumes and race, maybe. To those who know boxing, the two are night and day. Any serious analyst knows that Bute was nothing special. Golovkin, on the other hand, is special.

 

Bute and GGG go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Although I do consider Rosado's trainer pleading, "I gotta stop this! He's gonna kill your son!" just before throwing the towel to be a statement of the beating.

 

Its not like GGG just had a lucky win in the ams over ONE pro fighter who became successful in the pro ranks its a handful of fighters he defeated and his style in particular is even better for the pros. Hes not master slickness or a big mouth he just lets his fists do the talkin. Eventually him and Ward will cross paths and to me that will be a superfight to determine who the real great really is. Or in some rare cases, both fighters end up being winners, like the Marquez- Pacquiao saga. Even if Ward goes to 175, I think GGG is good enough to fight there too. GGG-Ward-Kovalev, the mauler, the boxer, and the ko artist, will give us some classics. They need each other to make history and big $$$. Bute perhaps under a different trainer may improve, but doesn'thave too much time. He ddoesn't suck but not a great fighter.

 

I thought Bute was the goods. I explained away the first Andrade fight by believing the anemia story and the way he dealt with him the rematch seemed to give crredenct to the excuse for the first fight.

In retrospect all the signs were there, especially how he fought against Glen Johnson. My only point is that most of the poster's who claimed Bute would fail at the top tier did not actually know that. It was just wishfull thinking and their dogged marriage to an agenda. The same way they truly do not know that Golovkin will follow suit. It is just an easy comparison that fits their motives. The same way Ray Mercer was going to blast Wlad just like he did Tommy Morrison.

How many great fighters come out of Quebec, and what are the odds of a great fighter fighting there rather than somewhere in the US?

Prior to facing an old Glen Johnson and winning by an uneventful UD, his strongest opponent was Magee.
Why didn't his management jump through hell and high water to get him a spot in the Super 6 where he could have met Dirrell or AA, Kessler, or Ward?
If he were really any good, then why was his management matching him up with such soft opposition while waiting for the S6 to end?

All the signs were there that Bute was just a hype. Some people just refused to see them because of their tinted glasses.

 

First of all, at the beginning of the S6. Bute was in contract with HBO and he wanted to rematch Andrade.

When spots open up in the S6, the Bute team wanted in. But one team said no: Ward's team. They didn't want Bute in because Bute was considered a threat. Other guys filled the empty spots.

During the S6, there was not much people left to fight.
