How surprised where you when Tito manhandled William Joppy like he did?

I wasnt surprised that he could outlast Vargas, or even that he could outclass David Reid at 154

But Joppy was a legit Middleweight...Im not surprised that he beat him, more how he beat him

As for Hopkins, I always thought Tito was biting off more than he could chew, that fight went pretty much how I thought it would..

Should Tito have polished off a few easy defenses before challenging B-Hop? I really think he could have built a nice little 160 legacy before losing his belt

I definitely think if he stayed at 154 he could have dominated , probly even got another payday with De LA hoya

The funny thing is that the gap between Hopkins and Joppy wasn't considered that big back then. Before the Joppy fight, I think Tito or his dad said Joppy was the best middleweight and didn't get any backlash. After Hopkins beat him up, it helped sort all that out.

Remember, post fight Joppy said he had never been hit that hard before.

I think that was when B-Hop got wind that there might be something fishy about the "wrappings" on Tito's gloves ( B-Hop had Tito to re-wrap his gloves pre-fight in their shoot-out).

    Just saying.

Not gonna pretend I saw it coming. Now I cling to it in the hope Khan can bludgeon Saul in similarly embarrassing fashion.
