How Tall Was Hearns?

I've seen him pegged as 6'1 to 6'3...?

 

they do that with loads of fighters maybe he did actually grow taller when moving up in weight

 

Where'd the extra two inches come from?

 

I think he was about 6-1, as opposed to Paul Williams who is listed 6-1 but is actually 6- 3.

 

Ah, William's really is 6'3?

 

I don't know for sure, but I estimate him to be from comparison with other fighters. Margo is about 6' there seemed like a 3 or 4" difference; and whenever I see him stood next to anyone he looks more than 6-1.

I can't even begin to imagine how thin he's gotta be. Williams weighed in at about 146 Lbs last Saturday.

 

Hearns does look taller than 6' 1". Probably just his frame makes him look bigger in height. I'm exactly 6' 0", and its hard to believe I'm only an inch shorter than him.

 

i think he is as well. margarito is a good 5'11-6'0' and william looked more than 2 inches taller than him.

 

Was Hearns taller than Barkley ?

I've seen Hearns listed at 6'1 and at 6'2 1/2

Breland was the only welterweight I can remember being as tall as (or taller than) Hearns was.

 

From seeing him in real life, he looks to be 6-1 or maybe a half and inch taller.

 

I always thought he was about 6'2. Maybe 6'1 or just over.

I'm 6'1 and he doesn't look like he's 2 inches taller than me, not that you get a great sense of it on a tv screen.
