How tall was "Iron" Mike Tyson for real?

He is 5' 10" He started getting listed as taller by pay-per view broadcasters, who for example, listed him as 5' 11 1/2", and Holyfield as 6'21/2" ! Holy is just under 6'1" Six and three-quarters to be exact.


Foreman and Holems through their entire carreers were always 6'3". When Foreman came back he started getting 6'4, same for Holmes. A few more comebacks and they'll be ready for the NBA.

 

Exactly, he is about 5'10 and a half. Cus use to train mike to fight short and where he trained him the ceiling were low so he would hit his head if he tried to fight tall, so that might account for Mike not really getting any bigger after the age of 13-14. He also is built like a brick house, with no neck, which gives the appearence of being shorter.

 

He had to be wearing lifts in shoes, he is not that tall.

 

I was in the gym with him that often... His true height when measured was always . bare footed.. 5 feet 10 and a half inches

 

Yes thanks. His neck size was way above average as was his muscularity which made him look shorter than he was.

Mike was a pleasure to see develope, i love Mike and always felt he got the raw end of many a deal.. Mike is one of the most generous men i ever knew. Albert Williams ( my friend in my Avatar ) passed away a few years back , and Mike payed for his funeral in Newport News Virginia.. I will never forget that..

 

i'm betting he was closer to 5'9",then that 5'11" they list so often

I've met tyson 3 times,
I'm 5'10 and he was slighty taller. he's def 5'11!
Like someone said b4,he's built like a tank and very wide.

two things that stand out on mike is his NECK, it's like a cotdamn tree-trunk and his shoulders.
